The budding mountaineers received winter boots, from Goonj, as a reward for their efforts!

Recently we shared a story, about over 800 families who came along with Goonj to “Clean The Himalaya”. In the second phase this year, the campaign involved women mountaineers! Training to become advanced mountaineers to climb Mt. Everest one day, the women-only squad worked with the Goonj team to collect 21 bags of plastic from the base camp area and the village of Dharchula in Uttarakhand.
