Pudiyani village in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand was facing acute water shortage and it took a heavy toll on the women in the region. 45 women came together to dig a (10×4.2ft) pond and in just a few days they had their farm pond ready for irrigation and to store water for their livestock.
