Our Relief and Rehabilitation Efforts
We have been responding to annual floods and other neglected disasters and mobilising flood-affected people to repair their own water, sanitation, infrastructure and livelihood with dignity. Through more than two decades of work, we stand with people as stakeholders NOT victims in face of disasters and support them with sustained relief, rehabilitation and development effort across India. Through Rahat, our Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation initiative we reach out to disaster affected communities with essentials using the material and monetary resources raised from the masses. Post disaster, communities are mobilized and they themselves undertake rebuilding and restructuring work on a long term basis for holistic rural development on critical issues such as water, health and hygiene, access and infrastructure, agriculture, etc.
