When Dr. Pathak and 20+ volunteer at Kalyan, Navi Mumbai organized a Goonj Collection Camp during Daan Utsav, over 400 people turned up to contribute urgently needed material and money for flood-affected families!!! Neatly folded clothes, labeled boxes, new shirts and people volunteering to pack and load material into trucks..everything pointed to special efforts made by this dedicated set of volunteers to highlight mindful giving.

When floods wrecked Shilpa’s ( Name changed) small grocery store in Nagaral,( Bagalkot) in Karnataka, she was already battling the loss of a dear one. Goonj motivated her to set up the store again by providing basic and necessary material under our ‘Vapsi’ initiative.

Severe monsoon rains recently rummaged through Bihar causing massive flooding in over 13 districts and affecting millions of families. Located near Budhi Gandhak river people of Kanjhi Tola village in West Champaran suffered badly as floods damaged their crops and land. Team Goonj mobilized and motivated people and brought together over 55 residents to build a check dam over the river.
