How Your Material Creates Impact
Every act of sharing can travel further than we imagine. What is shared through the month will strengthen Goonj’s work with rural communities, strengthening efforts around water, education, sanitation, access, infrastructure, disaster response and more.

Dhursi, Chhattisgarh: For families in this hilly village, water scarcity meant long journeys. Through Goonj’s Cloth for Work initiative, families came together to build a check dam, retaining water for nearly four months. Three years later, the structure continues to serve villagers, livestock and wildlife, even as its use has evolved.
