Background
Annual floods in India have started in Assam and parts of North East. As the situation continues to worsen more than 4 lakh people across 22 districts in the state are displaced. Like previous years these annual floods have already impacted other parts of the nation. Contribute now to support the relief and rehabilitation efforts in these floods across the country.
Our Model
- We will first address the basic urgent needs of the flood affected communities.
- Later in the rehabilitation process, through the initiative "Cloth for Work" material kits will motivate and trigger local communities to action and restore infrastructure like roads, schools, dams etc. and rebuild lives along the way.
- This way the affected communities will not just be passive recipients but collectively work with us as an equal stakeholder in assessing the critical situation and in the decision-making.
