Some Important Do’s and Don’ts

  • GOONJ will not be  picking  up material from individual homes.
  • If you come across a Vastra Samman collection happening in your area; make sure the authenticity of the people organizing the collection before giving and incase of any doubt immediately call us up on 011-41401216, 011-26972351 or write to mailgoonj@gmail.com
  • If you are organizing a collection camp in your area, on your own, (with GOONJ’s permission & publicity material support), make sure to reach us the material definitely before 15th October.
  • For cash/cheque/draft contribution to GOONJ- write a cheque/draft in the name of GOONJ and send it to the following address. “J-93, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi, Tel; 011-26972351/41401216. or refer the financial contribution link.
  • Do make sure you get a receipt for any monetary contribution. Send your contribution directly to GOONJ local office in your city or to the GOONJ Head office. ( for details refer our financial contributions link).
  • Even after the Vastra Samman Campaign, make it a habit to look around your house for any unused material which could benefit someone else. Contribute it to a local NGO/a needy person. Visit our website/call/write to us, to find out about organizations we are working with in your region. We encourage you to give directly to any good cause you come across. Whoever you give to, doesn’t matter, as long as you don’t store unnecessarily.
  • GOONJ encourages everyone to observe 1st January, every year as CLOTH DAY; start the new year with giving at least one piece of clothing to someone who needs it..
  • We are keenly looking for individuals who have an entrepreneurial streak, and want to do something… We will mentor such people, support the replication, to spread the idea across the country.
